Chelsea star Spencer Matthews said he is unconcerned by Twitter threats
following his villainous misdemeanours on the hit E4 show.
‘Some people think they have a
reason to kill me,’ the 25-year-old reality star revealed on the BAFTA TV red
carpet. ‘But I’m fine with that as I doubt they’re actually going to kill me.
If I bump into them I image they will buy me a drink. So I find it amusing.’
Girlfriend Lucy Watson agreed, saying:
‘People are always nice in person. They hide behind Twitter.’
The pair were talking before their
show scooped the gong for best Reality and Constructed Factual show.
Spencer went on to reveal his bad boy
act on the Award winning show is just that – an act.
‘I’ve become the pantomime villain
of the series now, I play up to it a little bit. I think every show needs a bit
of darkness. I loved Spencer Pratt on The Hills and I love the baddies in the
Bond films – I think it makes for more interesting viewing.’
‘I enjoy antagonising people,’ he
went on before concluding he is much more likeable in the flesh. ‘In real life
people who hate you on Twitter, they meet you and they see a different side to you
because it’s just a TV show at the end of the day.’
He also said the cast would bury the
hatchet if the show scooped the award saying all feuds would be resolved over a
celebration dinner – so expect to see the cast getting along famously in future
episodes.
