Little
Mix star Jade Thirlwall will be trying to avoid getting busted for under-age
partying in the States later this month – where the legal drinking age is 21.
‘Me and Leigh-Anne, we like to
party,’ the 19-year-old singer said after handing out Ice Creams and singing
her latest hit How Ya Doin’? in London’s Covent Garden on Monday.
‘But when we went to America last time,
it was so embarrassing,’ she went on. ‘We only went into this little bar in the
hotel and I got ID’d and I was absolutely mortified. I had to go home! It was
like I was 14 again.’
The girls will be across the pond
to ramp up their assault on the American charts, where their debut single
‘Wings’ is currently doing well.
And the band are hoping to join
fellow Brit’s One Direction who will also be stateside at the same time.
‘Perrie can meet up with Zayne although
I’m not sure where they will be as they’re so busy,’ Jade told Guilty Pleasures
optimistically. ‘Fingers crossed we’ll be able to meet up.’
